Prior to their UK dates with Hookworms, South London dark pop trio Virginia Wing have joined up with their tour mates to produce a mixtape.
The 11-track tape ranges from Chris Carter's 'Poptones' to Arthur Russell ('Keeping Up'), Subway ('Xam') and Giorgio Moroder & Phil Oakey's 'Together In Electric Dreams'.
Formed in 2012 and named after Grace Slick’s mother, Virginia Wing - Alice Merida Richards (vocals, synths, organ), Samuel Pillay (synths, guitar, noises, bass) and Sebastian Truskolaski (drums, percussion) - received praise for their debut work 'Measures Of Joy' which encompassed spoken-word passages and brooding electronics.
