Close to two years ago we first featured London-based psych-rock quartet Telegram as One To Watch. We are still watching - and look how far they've come.
New for 2015 from Matt S, Matt W, Oli and Jordan is another collaboration with Speedy Wunderground label head-cum-esteemed producer, Dan Carey, who previously took control of the band's debut single ‘Follow’.
"The decision to do a SW single," they say, "was a spontaneous one. It was a breath of fresh air amidst frustrations concerning the recording of the debut album. Dan taught us it's as easy as having an idea to produce something and simply putting that plan into action, without stopping to worry about all the potential obstacles. It was all the more liberating as a result.'
'Inside Out', which you can stream below, is released on March 9.
The single B-side, ‘Mr Dan’s Inside Out Dub’, is a dub remix which strips back elements of the original and turns it literally, inside-out, adding Carey’s trademark riddims, waves of echo giving way to a haunted, beat-driven underbelly.
Speedy Wunderground has also previously released singles by Steve Mason & Emiliana Torrini, Scotti Brains, The Archie Bronson Outfit, Natalie Bang Bang and Toy & Natasha Khan.
