First Listen :: Frost
Following his remix of Hozier's 'Take Me To Church' earlier this year, Sydney-based producer Frost (Nick Frost) releases his own debut track, 'Dreaming'.
Sitting somewhere in the space between ZHU and Jon Hopkins, the just short of five-minutes track is highlighted by Frost's own deeply resonant vocals - and a lot of "mmm-mm-mmmm's" - under which runs a crisp left field production.
Taking his interest - or obsession - with sound that drove him to late nights writing music, where he says, "the rhythms and melodies would enter my dreams" when he did sleep, he found both his track title, and a work that penetrates the soul.
