Telegram Share Brian Eno Track As Single B-Side

Words: Linn Branson

It always amuses me when I look at Telegram's Facebook members list: 'Matthew, Matthew, Moon & Cook', which raises an image of a (slightly less than) staid firm of accountants.

However, there is nothing at all restrained or formal about Saunders, Wood, Oli and Jordan's latest track which they have shared.

B-side to forthcoming single 'Aeons' is the band’s own individual take on ‘Needles In The Camel’s Eye’, from Brian Eno’s classic 1973 album ‘Here Comes The Warm Jets’.

Vocalist Matt Saunders explains their reason for covering it: "Eno once described 'Needles In The Camel's Eye' as 'an instrumental with singing on it', and you can't argue with that! Nor can we deny this be a favorite of ours. We played it so much from the record that I think we inevitably got bored of hearing it like that, so we
started playing it live instead."

'Aeons'/'Needles In The Camel’s Eye’ is is digitally available now and will also be released on limited edition, 7" white vinyl on July 10 via Telegram's own Gram Gram label, which can be ore-ordered via Pledge Music.
