No stranger to Little Indie, Sydney electronic alt-pop songstress Lupa J returns with a fast follow-up to June's ‘Quiet Here' with new single 'Armour’, released last week.
Both with similar elements of subtle fusing of violin with electronic synth, are pinned by the fragile vocal by which Lupa J - Imogen Jones - has become known over the last couple of years, and gift for articulate and mature-beyond-years lyric writing.
She describes the song as, "about some boys I know who try to become tough or aggressive in an attempt to deal with difficult emotions that they seem to think may be perceived as 'weak'. It's both saddening and frustrating to watch because in the end they lose touch with the most honest, sensitive side of themselves - and end up hurting others in the process.”
