Viet Cong Unveil 'Bunker Buster' Video // Embark On N. America Tour With Greys
Calgary quartet Viet Cong unveil their new video for 'Bunker Buster', directed by Yoonha Park, ahead of their run of live dates.
Shot on 16mm film, the clip pays homage to many classics of the science fiction genre, using robotic arms, surgical tubes, and a mannequin overlaid with projections of human faces mouthing the song's lyrics. Park gives the song a grainy, sci-fi treatment, taking influences from the likes of Wong Kar-Wai, Philip K. Dick, and Lars von Trier.
Since the release of their self-titled debut album in January, Viet Cong have played sold-out shows across North America and Europe, and garnered enthusiastic acclaim for their tight, angular, and catchy brand of post-punk.
