KID NORTH - RIP TIDE
Released last week, pop-gaze electronica lead single from Parisian trio (Axel Dallou - vocals/bass/keys; Gary Royant - guitar/vocals/keys; Gregory Hoepffner - drums) ahead of their 'New Waters' LP out in January on Tsunami Addiction label. Catch live in Paris on October 26 at L'International. Star rating: ***/5

ROLLING BLACKOUTS - TENDER IS THE NECK
Follow-up single to 'Wide Eyes', the Melbourne band have now dropped this new release, a slow tempo meander with smooth vocals and harmonies, from their debut EP 'Talk Tight', which came out yesterday (October 23) via Ivy League Records. Star rating: *** 5/5

SWOONS - OLD BLUE
Taken from their just released debut EP 'Ugly Apartments', the Buckinghamshire three-piece follow their indie rock stomper debut 'The Night' (which came out in March), with this blues-rock cacophony, blending big gripping riffs and strong melody. Star rating: ***.5/5
