October 23 2015 - Hot Top Ten

PALM HONEY - BEWITCHED
Reading psychedelic pop quartet release this second single of dark lyrics, intertwining synth and guitar lines, blended with upbeat melodies and beats, out October 28. Catch live at The Secret Festival in Brighton on October 25, and at the town's Pretty Green store at 2pm the same day for a semi-acoustic instore set.

SHELTER POINT - GLASS INTO GOLD
Nottingham-based duo with one of two new tracks (w/'Pale') out December 11th. Dense soundscapes providing the perfect backdrop for Liam Arnold’s haunting vocals over a melancholy electronica mix of organic and synthetic. Catch them live at London's Mirrors festival in Hackney on October 31.

WALKEN - EVEN IF IT KILLS ME
Brisbane two-man force of punk noise. Matt Jamez (vocals/guitar) and Joe Daley (drums) channel adrenaline fuelled riffs and pummelling rhythm intensity in this grunge-heavy new single. Like Slaves but with a suntan and different accent.

GRRL PAL - SUGGEST
Back to Australia, to Perth for this electro pop duo who follow up their 'Paradise’ EP of earlier this year, with this single of lush vocals, minimalist beats and soaring synths to entice your ears.

ZOLA BLOOD - PIECES OF THE DAY
Hackney four-piece share second single from their forthcoming double A-side release, produced by Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Ghostpoet, Darkstar), the song tells a story of an evening spent on London’s number 8 night bus, all rumbling synths and hazy vocals.

LILY & THE BELLOWS - WHITE LIES
Fronted by Lily So, the Sydney outfit deliver strong retro style vibes with So's soulful, pop voice in a bluesy blend of indie folk-pop.

SEA PINKS - DEPTH OF FIELD
First from the Belfast guitar pop trio's forthcoming album 'Soft Days', out in January via CF Records. Melodic guitar lines and dreamy chorus.

HOLY ESQUE - HEXX
Glasgow post-punk with an American East Coast feel, one side of the AA single (w/‘Silences’) out December 7, with debut album 'At Hope’s Ravine' to follow next February via Beyond The Frequency.

ARCTIC LAKE - FOR US
North London three-piece carrying the London Grammar baton with Emma Foster's chilled angelic vocals blended with melodically crisp beat.

FRENSHIP - NOWHERE
Multi-styled Los Angeles-based duo James and Brett have been making music together for a couple of years since meeting selling yoga pants. Soaring melodies and sweet vocals combine with poppy synth hooks.
