London-based indie pop foursome Slowlights are set to release their next single, 'Take What I Can Get' on November 6, which Little Indie is pleased to premiere here.
The follow-up to debut 'A Warning' - which featured in series 9 of Made In Chelsea - just "came out of nowhere", says the band's vocalist Dan Clark, "just before we were about to go into the studio to demo a few songs. It's about trying to find something positive in bad situations."
With a soaring vocal and propulsive beat, it transmits a warm, uplifting vibe that rides on layers of guitar and percussion. It's the kind of song you can easily imagine becoming a live set favourite - as no doubt it will.
Since forming early last year, the band - who started writing together after drawing on influences from such luminaries as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and Coldplay - have supported Model Aeroplanes, Eliza And The Bear and Viola Beach, and saw 'A Warning' head up a listeners popularity poll on Amazing Radio back in late spring.
Slowlights are:
Dan Clark - vocals/guitar, Stephen Dukelow - bass, Daniel Lee Taylor - guitar, Bill Dukelow - drums.
