Listen :: Fat White Family - Whitest Boy On The Beach

Words: Ellie Ward

Fat White Family are set to kick off 2016 with the release of 'Whitest Boy On The Beach', their new single and first cut from their forthcoming second album. The single is released on January 15 via the band’s own Without Consent label.

Describing the album (out the werk after the single) as "an invitation, sent by misery, to dance to the beat of human hatred", 'Songs For Our Mothers', recorded at Trashmouth studios in New Malden and Marcata Studios in New Paltz, upstate New York and features the Sean Lennon co-produced track ‘Satisfied’, follows their 2013 debut 'Champagne Holocaust'. 'Whitest Boy On The Beach' veers slightly away from the ragged punk of their earlier material for a bass-heavy piece of psych-esque with trippy vocals, warped guitar line and big synth finale.

The band, currently on tour on Europe where they played Paris venue la Cigale on the night of the city's terrorist attacks, will play a further handful of UK shows next month, see below. A full UK tour will be announced shortly.
