From Athens, Georgia come the New Madrid, a four-piece with a liking for fluid psych-rock textures crossed with jangly pop that they first gave an inkling of back in 2012 on their independent debut release 'Yardboat'.
Following 'Sunswimmer' which came out this past February, the band already have their third lined up for release next April: 'magnetkingmagnetqueen', out via New West Records’ imprint, Normaltown Records.
The record's lead cut 'Don’t Hold Me Now' opens on a cosmic floaty vibe and soars along on frisky drum beats and driving bass, anchored by Phil McGill’s spacey vocal effects.
New Madrid head to Europe and the UK at the start of the New Year.
