Father John Misty offers a bedtime lullaby with 'Maybe, Sweet One, You Won’t Have Nightmares Tonight'

Father John Misty unveiled a new song earlier today (January 23), uploading 'Maybe, Sweet One, You Won’t Have Nightmares Tonight' to Soundcloud.

The song was written for his appearance on the US TV show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, but was never aired.

"I was asked to write a lullaby for Stephen Colbert as part of a skit for the show. Unfortunately the bit was cut for time/content," he writes in the accompanying message description.
