The Irish trio from Limerick should indeed be feeling happy with this track 'O Happy, Happy, Happy', taken from their upcoming self-produced (and mixed by David Wrench - Caribou, Jape, FKA Twigs) album ‘Is’, released on February 12 via Virgin EMI.
With its shoegaze textures, choppy guitars, melodic harmonies and wall of reverb, along with Michael Keating’s powerfully distinctive vocals, you can see why Radio One's Huw Stephens described Bleeding Heart Pigeons as “an incredible Irish band who I’ve fallen for in a big way.”
The band play two upcoming London shows: The Social (Huw Stephens Presents) on February 9, and Servant Jazz Quarters, the following night.
