When a band writes lyrics such as, "Take off all my clothes/and run until I find unicorns and rainbows", you know you're probably going to either love or hate them. In the case of Dos Enos, it is certainly the former.
The Australian psych rock trio from Illawarra, New South Wales, employ a Tame Impala feel on the lengthy - near five minutes - new single 'Unicorns', out on January 21, with vocalist/drummer Joseph Winkler pretty much taking centre stage on both here.
From Matt Unwin's delightful guitar opening, the gentle keys of Luke Hannaford to the thunderous drums and Winkler's interspersed wails, 'Unicorns' is both trippy and infectious.
Touring in support of the single, the band kick off at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane on January 20. For further dates and information, see their Facebook here.
