Taken from the forthcoming EP, Southampton's dreampop trio put a spin on reverb-drenched, dreamy indie guitar riffs with an element of post-punk in this foot-tapping track. Catch live at Southampton's The Alexandra on May 14.
PLGRMS - FOOLS AND THEIR GOLD
The Sydney electro-pop duo (singer-songwriter Jacob Pearson and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Bowden, joined once again by Luke Davison of The Preatures on drums) release this follow-up to ‘Pieces’ today via 0E0E. Atmospherically crafted around synths and catchy drum beat.
SUNBATHERS - LOVEPEAK
Out this week, Baltimore's synth five-piece return with the follow-up to 'Intimacy' of late last year. Again filled with their trademark sultry synths and Sean Lynott’s alluring vocals that draw you into its rhythmic melodies.
CAVALRY - LUCERNE
New track - out this week via Fierce Panda - from the indie-pop/rock Merseyside quintet, Cavalry. Multi-layered atmospheric harmonies, breathy vocals and emotive guitar-led melodic textures. Catch live at Liverpool Sound City on May 28.
DEUX FURIEUSES - DREAM FOR A CHANGE
From the London/Glasgow duo's - Vas Antoniadou and Ros Cairney - debut album 'Tracks of Wire', out on May 20. Produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey’s arranger/drummer), it packs a punch of incisive lyrics, blistering riffs and brooding post-punk energy.
THE CRADLES - YOU CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT ME
New single from the Cardiff outfit, released July 29 on Solva Records. You probably won't stop thinking about them after hearing this edgy ode on healing a broken heart, set against moody guitars and tight drums and Joe Norman’s vocals. Almost a partner to previous single 'Ideal Girl' - another tale of young love gone wrong.
NIGHT SCHOOL - LAST DISASTER
Plenty of woozy, reverb-heavy vibes from the Oakland, California female trio (Alexandra Morte - vocals, guitar; Cheyenne Avant - bass; Baylie Arin - drums), on this 60s style girl group harmonies with fuzzy distorted guitar layers taster from their debut album 'Blush', released June 17 via Graveface Records.
SEE - POTIONS
Debut from 20-year old Long Islander singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist, the first single from her debut EP 'Ties', released on June 24 via Blue Élan Records. Produced by Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Real Estate), it blends evocative, soaring vocals and harmonies with a subtle beat.
COREY VALENTINE - TONIGHT
Brighton's electronic synth-popsters follow their January debut single 'The Answer' with another catchy, 80s-influenced track melding synths, guitars, harmonies and reverb. Debut album set for release later in 2016.
