Listen :: Greys release surprise album 'Warm Shadow' to aid Toronto women's shelter

Words: Ellie Ward

Toronto punks Greys have followed their second album 'Outer Heaven', released in April this year, with a further full-length released this week.

'Warm Shadow' they describe as 'a companion piece': "It's sort of like our 'Amnesiac'," says the band's Shehzaad Jiwani comparing it to the Radiohead album, in being an album that could not have seen light of day without its predecessor.

'Warm Shadow' will be available as a Pay What You Can download until October 12. All proceeds will be donated to Sistering, a women's shelter based in Toronto that offers a 24/7 Drop In service providing access to safe space through the day, evening and overnight hours, offering shelter, hot meals, crisis intervention and counselling; social housing and mental health case support and harm reduction programming. More info on Warm Shadow and Sistering here.
