SPINN are a new young Liverpool band who are about to release their second single, and which Little Indie is proud to present a first hearing of.
Formed last year, SPINN have been working their way around the Liverpool gig circuit, putting their 'spin' on first single 'Green Eyes' (racking up over 5,000 Soundcloud streams) and receiving airplay via BBC Introducing in Merseyside on Dave Monks' show.
'Bliss', which is released on December 2, furthers their laid back, chiming sound, laced with reverb and jangly guitars. Though a track which the band describe as 'a darker number' to 'Green Eyes', dealing as it does with the subject of betrayal, and "moving on from the past, and ultimately asking yourself/the person you're leaving behind, is everything you've done worth it to be in the situation you are right now?" Jonathon Quinn's vocals add a suitably downcast tone to fit the lyrical content - think along the lines of a Smiths' Morrissey - but you will soon be "living in bliss" as this track is one you'll find is something of a grower.
