Sometimes all you really want is a quick one. In and out, no messing or faffing around with two-minute-long intros or elongated instrumentals stuffing up the middle - just bang on in.
Following last December's 'I Don't Mind', Cornwall garage rock four-piece - all still in their teens - The Velvet Hands get straight down to business on new track 'Sick Of Living' that is released through Easy Action Records on Record Store Day, April 22, on 300 limited edition red 7" vinyl.
Recorded at Troubadour Studios, Falmouth and produced by Ben Woods (ex -Lost Dawn/ The Golden Dregs), The Velvet Hands sort it all out in 1:42 of explosive guitar riffs and pumped up vocals. That's the way to do it.
The Velvet Hands play a Record Store Day show at the Old Bakery Studios in Truro on April 21, before hot-footing it to London the following day to play The Rocksteady for This Feeling with SHEAFS, Avalanche Party and Sugarmen. They then head to Brighton on May 19 for The Alternative Great Escape (End Of The Trail Records).
