Track Of The Day :: The New Faith - Too Sad To Be Young
Words: Linn Branson
The Brighton-based alt-indie project fronted by Will Charlton, The New Faith, release debut single 'Too Sad To Be Young' on June 2.
Charlton's style is rather like a southern chamber-pop version of Teesside's Kingsley Chapman: hard to define, slightly off-kilter melancholy with a distinct sense of style that is interesting and listenable. 'Too Sad To Be Young' sounds like a good starting point. It's definitely a grower; give this two hearings and I guarantee you'll be back for a third.
The New Faith play The Prince Albert, Brighton on May 29, and a single launch show at the Servant Jazz Quarters in London on June 6.
