[Video] The Vryll Society air their Rolling Stones inspired video for 'Shadow Of A Wave'

Words: Sam Geary

Liverpool psych rockers The Vryll Society have just released the Peter Fearon-directed video for their new single 'Shadow Of A Wave', out now via Deltasonic Records.

Produced and engineered by Joe Fearon and Tom Longworth at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, 'Shadow Of A Wave', is “a driving love song searching down a motoric boulevard” and taken from their proposed debut album.

The band describe the video as having been inspired by "watching videos of bands like Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones in the studio. In the video the camera pans from right to left as opposed to left to right to signify moving back in time, this was an idea from the director Peter Fearon. We used the less is more method which is something we sometimes use when writing as well so it’s a good way to link the videos with the music.”
