Australian duo No Mono hit sublime on second single 'Violence Broken'

This second single - released on November 27 - from Oz duo No Mono is so tantalising, so beautfully arranged and performed, that it is truly sublime.

Tom (Lowlakes) Snowdon and Tom (Big Scary, #1 Dads) Iansek follow their earlier September debut 'Butterflies', with this new release, 'Violence Broken'. In a minimalist soundscape with dark and dreamy synths, subdued beats and Snowdon's hard to resist falsetto vocal, it certainly has all the right elements to induce all the right feels and more.

Says Iansek of the track: "Tom [Snowdon] opened his lyric book to begin writing and the first page he opened to had the words Violence Broken written in the middle of the page. We smiled at each other, it encapsulated the idea so well, and the words flowed easily from here.

"So the song is about living violently, or against your own nature, and the tumultuous process of moving through this to a place where there is no fear, to live more in line with your truer self. It is grabbing the steering wheel of your life for the first time and realising you have no idea how to drive!”

The guys play their first ever live shows in Australia next February. And all we can say is, strewth mate, wish we were there! But if you are - catch 'em!
