Track Of The Day :: AUTOBAHN - The World Around You Is Fractured Somehow

AUTOBAHN seem to have sided away from their industrial noise side that was heard on their early work and 2015's debut album 'Dissemble', exchanging the sharp post-punk angularity for layers of reflective, shoegaze-esque melancholia on new single 'The World Around You Is Fractured Somehow'.

The Leeds-based quintet follow second album, ‘The Moral Crossing,’  which came out last November, with this stand-alone track, with an intriguing title that could have come straight from The 1975. While there is a resemblance to 'Fallen' from that record, Craig Johnson takes an altogether softer vocal approach here, over propulsive drum arrangements, flowing synths and downcast guitar riffs.
