Think of a cross between the Smiths, The Pogues and a young Libertines and you have an inkling of the sound of Bristolian indie alt-rockers The Malarkey.
After starting out as a two-piece of vocalist/guitarists Louis Partington and Will Bisp, they expanded to a foursome in 2016 and unveiled tracks - "about love, life and death" - such as 'Bury The Hatchet', 'Change The Record' and 'In This Nightmare' in the last half of 2017.
Having just played the Dot to Dot festival, new single ‘Something To Die For’ is perhaps their most accomplished to date, with Louis Partington's commanding vocal over hypnotic guitars, and a downtempo melody - and a somewhat downcast lyrical line that old Moz would probably be proud of.
