Ahead of their new EP, 'Love And Leaving', arriving on August 20, Australian four-piece Shangrila drop a their latest single, 'Temptress'.
"'Temptress', says guitarist Jackson Macleod, "is about loving something or someone so dearly that you can never seem to walk away. Even when it begins to affect other aspects of your life in a negative way and you begin to question it, deep down you never stop loving it. Your love for it is blind and the fine line between passion and obsession can become blurred."
Devyn Jupp's raw, expressive vocals carry the song well, adding just the right amount of gravitas to the brooding, yet upbeat tone of the track supplied by the bass rhythm and guitar riffs.
Shangrila support Movement at Amplifier Bar in Perth on August 20, followed by an EP launch show at the same venue on September 1.
