JEPH drop new single 'Lola' (not a Kinks cover!)

JEPH are a self-described ‘beige’ four-piece garage-rock band from the Isle of Wight, but their music is anything but.

The band seem to have developed their style for their latest track, 'Lola', released today (May 3), since we first heard them last summer with their AA-side single 'Hey Baby' / 'Harry'.

'Lola' (nothing to do with the Kinks' lady of the same name!) comes with bassist Jessica Eastwood's fuzzy, distorted vocals, accompanied by piercing guitar riffs from Steph Norris, by which a darker, more potent picture to previous is painted. The feverish, punchy rhythm created by Guy Page's drums and guitarist Joe Perry, gives a greater sense of urgency in motion to this formerly rather laid-back and relaxed band.

Tune in below. You can catch JEPH live tonight (May 3) at the Edge Of The Wedge in Portsmouth, before they head to Brighton on May 9 for the free Brighton Mix-Up Day event at The Black Lion.
