Watch :: Inhaler share new visuals for single ‘Ice Cream Sundae'

Directed by Hugh Mulhern (known for his videos for Fontaines D.C.), rising Dubliners Inhaler share their new video for single ‘Ice Cream Sundae'.

“I wanted to capture the themes in Eli's lyrics in a way that was visually engaging from the start,” says Mulhern, who lends his signature surrealist style to the clip that sees an unconventional romance unfold amidst the neon lights and seedy characters of a casino.

“Opening the film with a shot of this all-powerful demon looking sad and insecure was a way of creating a character that you instantly understand is internally conflicted. It's the same with our Angel/Elvis impersonator. I had this idea in my head that Balf, our demon, was this hopeless romantic too distracted to help out Lucifer trying to topple the Archangels. As punishment, he's been confined to a circle of hell where he falls in love with the same person over and over again but as soon as they embrace she vanishes. Does he know that'll happen? He does consciously but each time he hopes his gut is wrong and takes a gamble on love again.”
