Something Leather share new single, ‘Lullaby’

Words: Sam Geary

Brighton's Something Leather bring some more of their dark alt-rock to new single, ‘Lullaby’, released last Friday via We Can Do It Records.

Following earlier single 'Velvet', ‘Lullaby’ rejects the comforting implications of its name to deliver a jarring, haunting and infectious track infused with explosive guitar riffs, driving organs and thumping drums.

“’Lullaby’ is the sweet temptation of dwelling in the past instead of moving on, the comforting call to press pause or rewind when it’s actually necessary to go ahead,” the band explain. “There’s calm and stillness as well as action and urgency all side by side – replicated in the song itself. Can we actually break free from a lullaby's spell? You tell us...”
