Liverpool/London indie four-piece LONA have exorcised the demon of their previous incarnation Judas, with a new alt-synth-rock sound that’s more refined than previous.
New single 'Wonderland' grabs you by the collar and hooks you into its energetic and vibrant beats and uplifting lyrics that creates a soothing tonic for these strange Covid days, as singer John Clancy’s crisp vocals cut through the red-tape of apathy and brightens up the world with lyrics like:
“Walk with a spring in every step / Live laugh and love and leave no regrets /
Call off the search for happiness / Forget what you’ve heard coz heaven’s on earth.”
If this band continues to produce solid and diverse tunes such as 2020's first release ‘Black Paradise’, and now ‘Wonderland’, the future is going to open up for them and welcome them home.
