Australian pop-punks 3 Hour Flight,
originally from Cairns, Queensland, now relocated to Brisbane, have just uploaded online this new track, 'Holding On To A Tragedy'.
From the teen angst of last year with 'Letting Go', to the infectious jam of the more sensitively titled 'Holding On To A Tragedy', this seems to be be the quartet's trademark: conveying thoughtful lyrics with upbeat melodies and plentiful hooks and riffs, and a big singalong chorus - as is on offer here.
Bassist Brandon Pineda's vocals are quite unlike anything you may have heard this week, and probably not what you might expect from a band in this genre. But it all gels on the final mix.
