Twisterella to twist again in 2021

While 2020 has so far priced to be a glum year for live music, with fingers crossed 2021 should be a bumper year for festival stages across the country.

Getting in early, a full 16 months ahead, Middlesbrough's award-winning multi-venue music festival Twisterella has announced its first line up names for the event in October 2021.

Hotly tipped emerging artists including The Howl & The Hum, Lauran Hibberd, Dream Nails, MarthaGunn and I See Rivers are among the first wave of artists announced for next year's festival on Saturday October 9
2021.

"Back in March, we were all set to announce the line-up for Twisterella 2020 but we held back as there was too much uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic" explains Twisterella co-promoter Henry Carden.

"The health, safety and wellbeing of the bands, audience and staff is of absolute paramount importance to us, so we've taken the incredibly difficult decision to postpone Twisterella 2020 and move the line-up to Twisterella 2021," he adds.

"Whilst we were initially sad that it was impossible for the event to run as planned this year, we're thrilled that a significant number of acts who were confirmed to play this year will now join us in 2021 for what will be the biggest and best Twisterella yet," echoes Twisterella co-promoter Andy Carr.

Odina, Cheerbleederz, One Nine, Venus, Straight Girl, Fortitude Valley, Mt. Misery, James Leonard Hewitson, Jodie Nicholson, Twist Helix, Campbell Sibthorpe, Bare Roots and Leopard Rays are other names announced today, with many more to be added.

With all of the venues less than a 5 minute walk from one another, the 1,250 capacity multi-venue metropolitan music festival utilises established stages such as Teesside University Students’ Union, The Townhouse, The Dickens Inn, TSOne and The Westgarth Social Club, along with pop-up sessions in some of the town’s coolest bars in nearby Baker Street and Bedford Street.

Tickets for Twisterella 2021 are on-sale now, priced at £20.00 online from SEE Tickets.

Tickets already purchased for Twisterella 2020 are valid for 2021's event, or refunds are available from point of purchase.
