Released today (September 17), Guildford 18-year-old Tom King returns with his third single of the year, 'Hiding Away'.
Following his summer outing with 'Be That For Me', this new number fuses warm and breezy guitar strums with a driving pop beat, and smooth vocals to bring the empowering track’s message of fearlessly living your truth to life.
“I wrote 'Hiding Away' with Jonathan Quarmby in a session at RAK Studios," says King. "I spoke about an experience I had with someone where everything was secretive and all I wanted to do was break free from it. We came up with the line ‘Hiding Away’ and it all fell into place. I love songs that tell a story, so wanted to incorporate that when writing the lyrics in the verse. I love the feeling the song has; it’s liberating and uplifting.”
The track is shared via a visual where we get the chance to join him in the passenger seat for a tranquil, thought provoking road journey as he takes us on a ride in his Mini Cooper for the day.
