Released this week via Nothing Fancy, 'YH4M' is the debut single from London-based newcomer Vogues.

The woozy, alt-pop number, produced by Benjamin Woods of The Golden Dregs (with whom Vogues recently released a collaborative EP entitled 'Sorry For Your Loss'), and written during a bout of insomnia due to a bedbug infestation whilst studying acting in rural France, the track opens with gentle gliding vocal motifs and squelching electronics, backed by a rolling piano, with Vogues' warm, rich vocal taking centre stage.

“It was the summer time so my remedy was to spend the long nights drinking one euro bottles of red wine and getting stoned in the woods until I could traipse home and sink into oblivion, before inevitably waking a few hours later scratching myself frantically," Vogues shares. "When I couldn’t sleep I’d go down to the basement which was filled with stuff, she [the lawyer] was a bit of a hoarder, old rocking horses and paintings of her dead relatives, where there was a pretty decrepit nicely out of tune upright piano, that’s how the song began.”
