Track Of The Day :: A Dead Forest Index - No Paths

A truly lovely piece here from A Dead Forest Index. 'No Paths' is a foretaste of the duo's upcoming album 'In All That Drifts From Summit Down', their first release out on April 29 for the Sargent House label.

The two New Zealanders, now London-based, brothers Adam (vocals/ guitar) and Sam Sherry (drums/piano), craft something alt-folk-esque in nature that is graced by the layered warmth of Adam Sherry’s vocals, atmospheric harmonies, resonant guitars and echoing tribal drum sound to fill four minutes with an immensely evocative sound.

This new work follows earlier EPs 'Antique' and 'Cast of Lines' - the latter being released by Jehnny Beth of Savages’ Pop Noire label, a precursor to the collaborative Savages/A Dead Forest Index composition and performance titled 'In What I’m Seeing; the Sun' for the Barbican’s Station to Station Festival last year.
