Track Of The Day :: bdrmm - Kare

Credit: Georgia Richards

Words: Linn Branson

With some heart-tugging instrumentation, and smooth vocals that on soaring, really do warm the cockles, 'Kare' is the lo-fi, dreamgaze new single from Hull five-piece bdrmm.

Following last year's 'Yucky' EP, 'Kare', which was produced by Forever Cult bassist Alex Greaves at The Nave in Leeds, is self-released and out this week.

“‘Kare’ was written inevitably after a night out,” vocalist Ryan Smith has said. “I had gotten the wrong impression from somebody and it turned out my feelings were being taken advantage of just so they didn’t have to stay in on a Saturday night.” Awww.

Little Indie first introduced Ryan here back in 2016 when he was still a solo bedroom - bedrmm, geddit? - project. Now joined up with brother Jordan Smith (bass), Joe Vickers (guitar), Daniel Hull (synth/backing vocals) and Aaron Moreton (drums), we like it even more.
