Words: Leah Raymond
Brighton indies White Room have left it to the end of the year to put out a new single, but like they say, some things are worth waiting for, and 'Shoot' certainly is.
Digitally released tomorrow (Octiber 26) and co-produced by frontman Jake Smallwood and Theo Verney (Fake Laugh, TRAAMS, FUR), the infectious 'Shoot' sees the band take on a sharper, grittier sound to their previous psych pop leanings.
Travelling along three and a half minutes with stabbing thrusts of twitchy guitars and punchy percussion, it is Smallwood who captures the attention with his propulsive spitting out of “Shoot, don’t make a scene!”
On tour with The Blinders, be sure to catch this fivesome for the live version.
