If you like your indie rock dark, heavy and bordering on the psych-punk, then Brighton's GURU should be the band for you. They follow 'Medicine Man' from earlier this year, with the quite blistering 'Consumer Helpline', released yesterday (November 19).
It's a potent and brutal three and a half minutes that takes no prisoners as it burns its way through on reverbed fuzz guitars and the kind of vocal outpouring from frontman Tom Cherrill that reminds of a similiar spikiness to Shame's Charlie Steen.
'Consumer Helpline' is the kind of stuff that is going to propel this four-piece hollering loudly for attention into 2019.
