Dantevilles' 'Bloomin’ Flowers' is sounding fragrant
Words: Ellie Ward
Manchester four-piece Dantevilles are stepping into spring with new single 'Bloomin’ Flowers'.
Produced once again by The Courteeners bassist Joseph Cross, and following last year's self-titled debut EP, the title, say the band, "plays off of Mancunian slang with Bloomin’ meaning to be blessed or blamed. The rest of the song is about how our understanding of love and relationships have changed over time."
The infectious rhythms of the stomping track are dominated by Alexis Panidi's propulsive drum work, and the driving vocal delivery of Jamie Gallagher, while the last 30-seconds or so give way to an intriguing instrumental finale.
Dantevilles play The Lending Room in Leeds on March 21.
