Swedish artist Emma Elisabeth is the 'Pilot' on captivating new single
Words: Leah Raymond
A new name on me, but Emma Elisabeth has a voice geared to linger in the memory. This new single, 'Pilot', dropped last Friday (March 15), and has already picked up a healthy number of online streams.
The Swedish songstress and producer - currently resident in Berlin - fuses an alt-country-rock-dreampop blend eith a soulfully-touched voice that this year has been heard on 'What a Waste' and 'Into The Blue', and will be wrapped up with her debut album which arrives on June 21.
'Pilot', complete with 80s synthesizers, comes with a lyrical stance of taking back control of a relationship; about, she says, "one person you can't hide from and that's yourself. The song's about connecting with who you are, dealing with your doubts, finding out where you gotta go, putting on your high boots and wading through whatever shit you have to go through to get out on the other side."
