Following last year's album release, 'Seeing Green', Vancouver quartet Dumb are already dropping another: the self-produced 'Club Nites' is out on June 7 via Mint Records.
“'Club Nites' is a collection of narratives drawn from the nightlife ecosystem," they say. "Attempting to break from the typical romanticized version of ‘the club’ as seen on TV, the album instead depicts a bleak social setting, where we zoom in on seemingly petty details in order to reveal the cracks that Hollywood forgot to fill.”
Listen to the sax-filled, Parquet Courts-ish 'Beef Hits' from the record below, where vocalist Franco Rossino delivers with punk detachment the lines: “Think you’re special / Think I got your number / Think I got the keys to the fucking city / Think I’m gonna offer you tea and cake.”
