Former Wild Beasts frontman Hayden Thorpe releases new track 'Love Crimes'

Words: Ali Mack

After releasing his first solo work, the plaintive, piano-led 'Diviner', in February, former Wild Beasts frontman Hayden Thorpe has now shared a second track.

The rather more bouncier 'Love Crimes' premiered earlier this evening (April 8) on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show, and piano still plays a key role, it is augmented by the accompaniment of subtle drums and of course, and not least, Thorpe's own delicately worked vocals that glide beautifully over the top.

Both 'Love Crimes', above, and 'Diviner', below, will feature on Thorpe's debut solo album - also titled 'Diviner' - to be released on May 24.

Tracklist:

Diviner
Straight Lines
Earthly Needs
Love Crimes
Stop Motion
In My Name
Anywhen
Human Knot
Spherical Time
