Words: Ellie Ward
Taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Infancy’, The Ninth Wave reveal the video for their new single ‘Used To Be Yours’.
‘Infancy’ will arrive in two parts (is this a new thing? First Foals, now these?), with the first half coming on April 26 via Distiller Records, and the second on November 15, each comprising six tracks.
Shot by David East (The Japanese House) in 24 hours in the Peak District, the new visual documents the fallout of the breakdown of a relationship, reflecting the track’s theme of finding your own way after losing love.
“The song is set in the No Man’s Land that you find yourself in after a relationship ends, where you still feel like you have some sort of possession over each other,” says vocalist and bassist Millie Kidd. “It reflects upon the inability to find comfort in one’s own company.”
