Out today (June 7) and officially launched at their Glasgow show tomorrow, Edinburgh four-piece Nasari follow the fuzzy ‘Spoilt Milk’ with new offering, ‘Ghosts’.
Despite this not gripping me on first hearing in its initial opening seconds, at some point it started gripping like a viper. The searing three and a half minute track is underpinned by a propulsive bassline and driving beat, over which urgent rhythms propel it along, with Ewan Mackie bringing a Grian Chatten vocal style to the fore.
Watch out for Nasari over the next 12 months. With the right backing they could become Scotland's own Fontaines D.C.
