Spector are back with a surprise new single, 'I Won't Wait'.
Produced by Rich Turvey, 'I Won't Wait' is' is the first new material from the band this year, and is a surging return that has the identifiable, trademark Spector stamp to it.
“'I Won’t Wait' is about patience being pushed to its limits, and the mental and emotional gymnastics we use to stay friends (or lovers) with people as we see all our own worst traits reflected back in them," explains frontman Fred Macpherson.
"It’s all the thoughts you have when you’re mindlessly staring at your phone in bed at night when you should have been asleep an hour ago - the things you never say that you’ve forgotten by the morning,” he adds.
The single comes alongside the announcement of a huge UK headline tour for October, including a show at London's Oval Space. Tickets go on sale this Friday (June 7) at 9am.
The band play London's Sebright Arms tonight.
