Spector embrace their 'Half Life' on second single of year
After making their return earlier this year with ‘I Won’t Wait’, Spector now drop their second offering, along with a video - 'Half Life’.
Both tracks will appear on their forthcoming EP, due this autumn through their own Moth Noise imprint.
The single sees Spector embrace their less urgent side, and instead showcases their adept ability to layer sounds effortlessly and weave them around sublime melodies and poignant lyrical work, whilst still remaining as vital as ever.
"Our last two videos were filmed in Shanghai and Morocco so it’s quite reassuring to know you can still make some magic just driving up and down Brick Lane a few times," says frontman Fred Macpherson.
"To me it’s like David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis on an Uber pool budget. It just so happened my fellow passengers were a camera crew. Shout out Callum the director who managed to work out what the song was about quicker than we had too. The grass is always greener on the other side of the glass."
Recently the band announced a huge UK headline tour for October, including a show at London's Oval Space. See full list of dates below.
