Premiered earlier this week on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World, ‘Violet’ is the new single from Sea Girls. You can't keep a good sea gal down - or four of them in this case - and whoever this 'Violet' is, she's a winner.
Coming just prior to their highly appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival this weekend, ‘Violet' ups the ante, firing on all cylinders and exuding all the band's trademark vivacity.
“If our other tracks are the shade, then 'Violet' is definitely the light," says frontman Henry Camamile, as he howls how he's “not leaving here without you!”
"There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realises, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.”
Sea Girls play their biggest ever shows this autumn, with six dates already sold out. The tour includes a night at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London on October 10. Support comes from The Mysterines. Dates below.
