Watch :: The Strokes play new number at New Year’s Eve gig

The Strokes left 2019 with a big New Year’s Eve show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. During the show, not only did Julian Casablancas and his bandmates pull out a new song for fans - called 'Ode To The Mets', you can watch their performance of it above - but also teased a new album will be arriving in 2020.

“Yeah, we’ve got a new album coming out soon,” the frontman told the crowd. “2020, here we come. The 2010s, whatever the fuck they’re called, we took ‘em off. And now we’ve been unfrozen and we’re back.”

This would mark their first full-length in seven years after 2013’s 'Comedown Machine'.
