Californian outfit The Buttertones have announced new single 'Phantom Eyes', the lead track off their upcoming new album 'Jazzhound', available on DSPs from April 10, via Innovative Leisure.
The quintet’s surf-rock with a post-punk edge sound comes alive on this three and a half minute retro-sounding number, which harnesses guitarist Richard Araiza's Ian Curtis-crossed-with-Morrissey-like baritone to dark lyrics, sharp synths and sonic array of guitars and percussion.
