Track Of The Day :: 'The Time is (still) Now' for The Rah’s

Words: Ali Mack

The Rah’s, the five-piece indie rockers from Prestonpans, east of Edinburgh, have really gone for a good recycle of 'The Time is Now'.

After being first released in 2013, it saw light again in 2017, and now in 2020 ‘The Time Is Now’ again for The Rah's as they emerged last week for a third go with the song that has gone through some refurbishment over the years.

This time it serves as a taster to the band's debut album (out later this year after being put back from April), and comes with a nicely slanted anthemic, rocky edge.

Drawing in some sharp riffs, incisive drumming, a steely bassline and whirling keys, along with a searing vocal from frontman Jack McLeod, it is the perfect festival stage big tune.
