Scottish trio Vanives follow their recent 'Babyshowers', with the lush new sounds of genre-crossing 'Heartstuck'.
Said to be "the result of late night experimenting", the single - out today (July 8) - is a sparse work of quite beautiful proportions from the Glasgow-based former Galloway childhood friends, singer and guitarist Stuart Ramage and producer/pianist Roan Ballantine, joined by Kyle Sharp on drums.
As Ramage's subtle tones open the track, the dreamy, atmospheric production travels a minimalist path, until a skilful pick-up on the midway bridge introduces a brief upbeat 30 seconds or so of electronic beats and subtle instrumentals.
