The Native are 'Chasing Highs' with a strong message

From Plymouth come The Native,  five-piece with a melodic indie gem of a new single called ‘Chasing Highs’.

The poignant song - released last week - actually bears a powerful message, borne as it was out of the tragic passing of a local girl who died of a drug overdose.

“You don’t often hear about events like this happening in our hometown, especially with someone at such a young age,” explains vocalist/guitarist Charlie Noordewier. “It really highlighted to us how a lot of the younger generations aren’t properly educated on these issues and how easy it is for someone so young to do something without thinking about the consequences."
